Wow, I have a major battery problem...

My Visor Deluxe uses a fresh set of batteries within about 24 hours. Its like it never turns off, even though the screen is off..

Any ideas anyone?

Major bummer.....

The visor never actually does turn off. It's RAM isn't that different from your desktop computer's in that it needs constant power to "remember" the programs you have installed. "Turning it off" is actually more like a power conserving mode where it shuts off power to the peripherals (e.g. the screen and speaker), but power is still being drawn to keep the apps alive. Unplug your computer and everything you have saved on the hard disk is fine. Yank the batteries on your visor and you have a couple minutes until everything is lost. But a day is ridiculously short for a pair of batteries, unless you're using very intensive apps constantly for that 24 hours. I'd call HS and get a replacement.

Have you tried a soft reset yet?

Angry More info

Still no luck. HS sent me their canned reply to all power issues, and I had already taken them into consideration.

I knew about the fact that they are "on" all the time.

The time for fresh alkaline batteries is < 24 hours until dead.

I did just install the new quickoffice upgrade. I am wondering if there is a correlation with that.

hmmm...

calling HS support next

Not to be facetious, but you are not leaving the visor in the sync cradle overnight are you? This puts a huge drain on the batteries as well....

Good luck!
