Multiple syncs under XP

I've started to experience a weirdness with USB hotsyncing on XP Professional - the first sync after a restart works fine, but I am then unable to sync again until I unplug the cradle's USB cable and plug it into a different USB port on my PC. I can switch back and forth between the same two ports, but I can only sync once per port before I have to switch again - on subsequent syncs, XP doesn't detect the USB connection and the Prism times out waiting for a response from the PC.

This is rather frustrating, and I'm sure it's not working as designed. In fact, I'm sure it was working properly when I originally installed XP - not sure what's caused it to start acting strangely.

Perhaps I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling the Palm Desktop software and Visor USB drivers.

Anyone else struck this problem, or have any better suggestions?

Never mind - I found the earlier threads relating to this same subject. Turning off the "power saving" "feature" in XP has solved the problem.
