a) in a PICO-second

god, does that sound good. I would ove a cheap radio like that. I love the radio.. and iof the speaker it uses could be used by the visor, or if he software was opensource, or any thing it would be COOOOOOOOOOL!

I would pay up to 49.95 for it, everything else, somebody needs to buy it for me as a present (I'm a kid with low income)

Thumbs up

a) Buy it in a second
Will it be similar to the My-Raydio? http://www.i-vox.com/my-raydio.htm

If I made a springboard radio to my desired standards, it would not add any thickness to the Visor. The Raydio appears to. It appears that the My-Raydio folks have set a pretty good set of specs for it, but there is no AM. The feature of being able to run when the Visor is OFF, even though still using the Visor's batteries seems like a good trick. I notice that it's not yet available, so it could be too good to be true. Of course my ideal springboard radio might be impossible to accomplish too.

Thanks for the responses, Visor owners. Keep 'em coming!

Dave

a.) would buy in a second

also consider this, wouldn't be cool to add the am/fm to the sounds good mp3 player. Actually, from the beginning, when CD walkman first arrived I wished they include a radio and it took them 10 years. Next, minidisc was popular, how I wished they include a radio but now its dead. Finally, now we have MP3 player, how I wished they include a radio and they have, WHAT GOOD IS "FM ONLY"!!! How do I listen to my Lakers, Dodgers and Kings games, news and sports radio??? Now, if SoundsGood would come out with their second generation with a built-in am/fm radio, I'll buy right away. Anyone out there agree with me??

MUST HAVE AM!!!! Then I'd buy it!

a)I will buy it!!!maybe can add a small torchlite to the module. Or a retractable light.....like the lighting on the Nintendo Gameboys

Radio - with caveat

I would buy one in a second. AM/FM with the tuner toys.

However, I would also like the pathetic speaker that my deluxe comes with to be bypassed for all system functions while this springboard is in place, and run through a decent speaker that the springboard itself would have installed. Then it would stay in my visor 24 x 7 and I would actually be able to HEAR the alarms go off.

Cheers!

Cool

A. I would most definitely buy this module in a second.

Please, any developers, this would rock!

Cool AM/FM Radio

Great Idea - If the people at Good Technology are listening - I would buy a "GoodRadio" with those features in

a) one second FLAT

they could make it compatible with the "Energy Clip" and make a lot of people happy.

A) For $30 it would be a great dummy module replacement and have great functionality! I would buy it pretty much instantly.

If possible, I would like to see some integration with the Visor like you can get from the VisorPhone. That is, I want an interface on the Visor's screen that lets me pre-program my favorite stations (like car radio buttons), select AM/FM as a toggle switch on the screen, control volume (like the contrast gauge), AND easily type in a number for a station so I don't have to scroll through a dial to see if I've hit the right station. Doing all this from the Visor's batteries, without having the Visor turned on would be nice.

I would LOVE a SLEEP mode, too, like on a clock radio. You set it for 60 minutes, and it automatically turns off. This way I can listen to the radio at night and not worry about running down the Visor's batteries after I've fallen asleep (listening to Art Bell).

Mike Savage? Whooooeee, purplemd -- he's too far out there for me (mostly because I get tired of his rants). I'm just tickled at having Art Bell back, is all.

In a heartbeat. Heh heh, I just wanted to add my own measure of time!!
Must have:
AM reception
Countdown off feature.
I'd pay $49.95. (Oh, for GAWD's SAKES, with the pricing thing!!)
$50

"A"

I'd certainly want one at that price.

- would an ear bud be included?

OK, since it's only a theoretical product I'll say "sure, an earbud is included".

BTW, there have been more than 700 reads of this message thread. PLEASE, even if you have no interest in radio on your Visor, respond anyway. It's just as useful to know what percentage of visor owners DON'T want a radio as those who do.

Read the very first message in the thread to know what to respond about.

Thanks,

Dave B.

I would buy on in a second! I would hope that it would have better recption than some of the cheap walkman clones.

You make a good point. Most radios I've had needed a decent antenna to get good reception. My "stroke of genious" was to design the thing to use an included special stylus as an antenna. The stylus slot is obviously the best place to store such a thing. When you want to use the radio, you "snap" (no tedious screwing in or out) the stylus into a jack on the radio module to become the antenna.

Whatcha think?

Dave ;-)

Arrow count me in

I'd buy one. Not right away though (unless I thought it would be my only chance) because where I live there are two radio stations and I listen to neither. But when I go off on a long vacation or move elsewhere I'd probably want one (especially on a vacation where I can't change the music on my soundsgood!).
