Hi guys,

I am planning within the next week to purchase a Visor and I was just wondering if the mail application on the Visor is workable with a Macintosh? I have a iMac with os 9 and a friend of mine who has a Visor Edge cannot get this function to work in sync with his Mac. He has a G4.

I was thinking about getting a modem so I can download my e-mail to the visor. If it doesn't work for the Mac it's not going to stop me from making the purchase, I was just curious to know if this can work in tandem with my Mac. I was told by my friend who has the Edge that a Visor PDA is much more friendlier for the Mac than a Palm PDA. Is this true? Being a newbie still has me a little wet behind the ears. I'll eventually catch on more so any help at this point is very appreciated. So far I have received great help from a previous post I left yesterday.

Out of the box, no. Multimail does have a Mac conduit, and it has more features than Mail.

In general, yes; unlike many other models the Visor is Mac compatible right out of the box, especially for recent USB based macs. Any computer still using serial ports has to go buy the serial cradle or upgrade.
I'm a Mac user as well; this was one of several features that influenced my decision to go Visor.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the response regarding my Mail application question. Once I decide which Visor to pick up i'll be back posting here on these boards as i'm sure i'll have alot of things to talk about. I'm still debating if I should wait for the announcement of the next Visor's to be released. Regardless at least I know i'll be getting a great PDA.
