Again
One more time people SORRY
We had to reformat the computer so therefore AvantGo is gone, I tried downloading from the site but I keep getting error message "no ce partner found" and "file is too large or corrupt" . It seems as though I may be attempting to dl the wrong version, the one on my palm is 4.0 build 823 but none of what is available matches the build????? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Vicki
CE is the old version of Microsoft's os for PPC's. It sounds to me like you're trying to download that version. You need the version for PalmOS.

When you login to your AvantGo account, there's a download link at the right, about half way down, under your user name. That opens the Software Setup page. If you're a Windows user, the PalmOS version (currently 4.0 build 941) is the 1st one in the list labeled "Download AvantGo Palm OS Client". The actual filename is "AGPalmClientSetup.exe".

Try saving to a file instead of the desktop. I just downloaded the palm version 3 days ago and it worked fine.

You can try one of two things... first, delete all traces of the file you've already downloaded and try again. Second, do the right-click, Save Target As... and specify a different filename like "AG4.exe". If neither of these options work, I'm not sure what else to tell you.
I deleted what I had already downloaded but nothing seems to be working.

I have contacted AvantGo support but they said it usually takes about 3 days for a reply..... I'm still thinking that it's sort of strange that this all happened after we reformatted the computer.
but Dell SWEARS that it has nothing to do with that
hmmmm strange coincidence I guess!!!!!!
thanks again
Vicki
Has anyone else attempted to download the Palm os exe from AvantGo in the last few days? I just tried it on my laptop and I got the same error message that I had been getting on my PC
iT SAYS THE FILE IS INCOMPLETE please obtain another copy and verify the size.
thanks
Vicki
I just successfully downloaded and executed the file from here. The only odd thing was that it said "You are about to install a consumer verion of AvantGo over an Enterprise version of AvantGo. Are you sure you want to proceed?"

Do you have any idea what would cause that to happen?
That is exactly what it said this time?????
