-- visor on 90210 (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=1319)
Flipping through the channels, I noticed an orange delux being shown on 90210.
It had a close up and everything.

"Flipping through channels" huh?
that always seems to be the story.
hehe!
Felipe:
What a coincidence! You zapped on 90210 just when they are showing a shot of the visor. Amazing
is 90210 still on??
Didn't they all graduate?
From College.....like five years ago....well, at least that is what my little sister tells me :>
In Felipe's defense:
I was "surfing" past Fox last night when I said "Wasn't that a Handspring logo?". I went back, and someone had a matching orange case (the black with orange trim), which they had been given as a gift. They opened it up and played with it a little bit, and yes, the Visor had it's close up.
I was so excited that I called my wife over to watch too.
Of course, as soon as the Visor was gone, so was I. I didn't even know which show it was. (serious)

There's something weird going on here. I too just happened to come out from putting the kids to bed to see the Visor scene on 90210. Is this merely coindcidence or were we Visor enthusiasts drawn to this show (which I never watch) at the same time by some unknown force? And was anyone else cheesed that Tori Spelling had one and I don't (tough to get them in Canada without a large mark up)? I think it's time to call Mulder and Scully (who probably also have Visors).
If anyone watched the whole show, they would know that it was not actually a visor deluxe. It must have been the next upgraded version. My deluxe doesn't make those cheesy beeping sounds whenever I enter data. Handspring is holding out on us.

Ahahahah! =)
You wouldn't believe me, but I havn't seen a new 90210 episode in well over a year at least. I'm never home when it's airing.
So the one time I'm home on the right night and my sis is watching 90210, it is the episode that they show the Visor.
It must be some sort of visor enthusiast magnetism calling us to watch.
Very cool. =)

My girlfriend actually watches the show and two were shown. Donna had an orange one and the boyfriend an Ice one. They were shown a few times as the boyfriend was all into being in sync.
They had all of their schedule items in the Memo Pad and occasionally sync'd their schedules via IR.
I've never been able to sync my schedule with another users (all at once, not beaming item by item). That must be another feature of the new future Visor...
I saw the news article on the Ally McBeal Palm reference, and thought I would pass on a couple of others that I had heard/seen.
First, in the movie "Keeping the Faith", the two main characters (Ed Norton and Ben Stiller) are trying to make an appointment. Ben pulls out his PDA and starts checking his availability. It looks like he has a Palm V in a black leather side-flip case and the default stylus.
Second, there is an 80's radio station here in Chicago who uses a tagline "Laptop broken? Cell phone battery dead? Palm Pilot on the fritz? Join us in the Eighties!"
I know that these are Visor sightings, but it is still an indication of how much PDAs are becoming part of our culture.
