Question

A friend of mine broke his VDX, he wants to sell his springboard modules on e-bay (eyemodule and backup module) but he needs to know how to ERASE the info on the backup module. Is there a way to do this outside of the Visor, the only thing that I can think of is getting a visor with no info (after a hard reset) and backing up to it.. but he is not near anyone with a visor so he can't really do that. Any other Ideas?

Icohen:

Why don't your friend get his visor replaced? he can get it replaced for $85 if he have a cracked display. As for your question... I don't think there is any other way to erase the info on the backup module.

I would just go to a store that had a working visor on display, do a hard reset on it, throw in your backup module, and back it up. Other than that, it would be tough to convice anyone to hard reset their visor unless they had a backup module of their own.

The deal is that he is not in the US, he is in the south of mexico, he wants to see if he can sell it in mexico or if not he will send it to the US BUT there are no other visors arround! He can't go to a staples or COMPUSA. And the reason he is not getting his visor replaced is that he fell in love with the iPaq.... he can't wait to have it come out...
