This is a cool and useful concept.
I did notice that the "user" in the pictures was using his finger
instead of a stylus, maybe using a stylus requires further "training" for users of the LifeVest.
I can't tell if the user is actually pushing an on-screen button or just pointing something out. It might be more useful to be able to skip the stylus on this sort of device anyway, I'd think.
Hmm, wonder if it would sold with or without Visor ...
(probably with, to make it a self-contained research/monitoring device)

One of the drivers at the Indy 500 this year was wearing this during the race. I believe he hit the wall during the race. It would be interesting to see his life stats when he hit the wall.
Can you say "Off the chart"...?
very cool!
Maybe in the next James Bond Movie they will use a Visor too...
They used a WinCE device once..

Now we need a matching tie, handkerchief, jacket and (most especially) pants. Not to mention the VisorPhone shoe.
"A man's not properly dressed unless he's got a nice shirt on, now is he guv'ner?" (the bonzos)
WinCE makes me wince.

When I first saw the subject header it reminded me about this story I heard a while back. A man was on the subway when some people confronted him with a knife and demanded his wallet. When he refused, they tried stabbing him and running away - but the knife hit his Palm Pilot that was in his pocket.

visor can save your life!
I heard that this vest will also record the sound of a rumbling stomach and convert it to a nokia ringtone to beam with the visor!
Or maybe not.
Or how bout this, they modify that shirt so you can plug about 100 different modules in it and they will all run on the visor at once.
Get a lee press on nail with a visor stylus point on it and you could be a walking visor, change your name to handspring and your set.
Although to do a hard reset you'd have to stick your finger up your a****. HA HA.
Im bored at work.
Yeah, I saw a piece about that on 20/20 or Dateline or one of them TV news shows.
The Visor has "saved" my life many times, like helping me remember Mom's birthday, reminding me to call someone, etc.
My first thought is that you could integrtate the PDA functions into the rest of the device, but then would you have to call it a ChestPilot? Would it run TorsoOS?
"Yeah, I'd like to get some more RAM for my PDA."
"How much did you need, sir?"
"Oh, I dunno, about a 42DD....."
