-- Delta Gamma Brain Wave module? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=15696)
Geeeezzz Matthew - be nice!
Many of you may know how hard it is to even get a website up and running :-) let alone a company and product
Timberlake:
The modules are maybe interesting, but hardly innovative. Put a pair of jumper cables on your ears and you'd get the same effect.
Now, I'm not saying that this isn't a legitmate tool. It's just completely unproven at this point and time, so one needs to take it with a grain of salt. The site's telemarketing/infomercial language doesn't help with that impression, either.
Also, I don't understand why these are springboards. Is their software for this or is just a battery with some wires attached?
As for making a web site, I would have more sypathy for this company had they not swiped the design of the site from innogear.com
But hey, if they're willing to support VisorCentral with advertising, more power too them.

Ok - I hear what your saying but I just would like to incourage VC posters to try and support companies who bring "new" modules to the market -- God knows that there have not been many lately.

Any chance of this happening? It would certainly help clear this up one way or another. They sound very tempting, and I'm sure many of us would want one if a third party said that the modules actually worked.
Don't Shoot!
Ok, let's get this straight. I'm with the company and I wouldn't want to see what you'd look like when you hook the jumper cables to your head *0). The signals these modules produce are multi-modulated bi-phasic square waves of a specific duty cycle to stimulate the proper brainwave patterns - very complex. I have been at several large health shows over the past year and have personally hooked-up over 600 persons at these shows. The results were remarkable as you can see a sampling on our website under testimonials. We have a 30 day money back guarantee - NO QUESTIONS ASKED - return policy, because we understand it's a new technology to most people, and they would want to see if it works for them. This technology is truely remarkable in that it can produce the following states: Sleepiness, Awakened, learning mindset, euphoria, sports readiness, etc (not at the same time). I really don't understand you guys, this technology is really cool! Maybe the next module should just be a rock, it's easier to understand.
Also, we didn't rip-off Innogear! We paid good money to have the site designed - several thousand dollars, and there is a standard branding we need to adhere to and this is according to Handsprings guidance documents. This is why you see blues and oranges, etc. The packaging for the stores has to following Handsprings' branding as well and has to conform to size, look and feel. There are only so many ways you can put something together within certain constraints.
We knew there would be some fear factor involved with the release of these innovative modules, but we didn't think that people would get out there shotguns and form a mob!
We will be releasing evaluation modules for third party review. We currently have about 50 requests for evaluation both here in the states and in europe & Japan, but I ask that you don't kill us yet!

Ok,
First of all bgelert you have a great sense of humor - I like that! Beware of how brutal these board are - you will NEVER win - these guys are pros at thrashing.
BUT -- Your story about Handspring requireing those colors and branding is a bunch of BS --- I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT! go look at all the module companies and you will see everyone has their own site - own colors, own design.
I am sorry to hear you spent so much money on your site, If I were you I would get some of your money back from a redesign who ripped you off in just coping a competitors website!
I would say if you changed a color or two and just did a "little" rearranging of your site you would not come across as stealing a site.-I mean geeezzz look at the blue bar on top - it even has the vertical lines going through it.
I just contacted someone I know in the Springboard industry and they confirmed what TimberLake said, "a bunch of BS"

Info
If anyone wants to learn more about this technology start at our website www.neuralfxnow.com read the History of Electromedicine, check out the FAQ page and the Products Page describe the exact functions of each module: sleep, awake, etc.
Then if you go to Google and search for CES (Cranial Electro Stimulation) you will have enough to read for weeks. Also there is an excellent book called "Megabrain" by Michael Hutchinson.
As far as Branding look at good.com 's color scheme and there are others. To learn more about that go to Handsprings Developers section of their website.
Visor Central will be one of the first to do an independant review, watch for it. Thanks guys for having an interest in our modules, a response of complacency would have been a worse response.

Good.com looks nothing like either your site or Innogear's. Just because it uses the color orange (the best color, more sites should use it) doesn't make it look like other Module sites.

Again,
You are takeing us as fools -- Good used orage because it was the in color -- Innogear chose their colors because they like them... so are you saying that all of the other 30 or so module makers are breaking the rules? There are "standards" HS imposes to not allow you to associate their name with just anything.... and there are box standards but they dont state that your website and box need to look like Innogears -- your insane lol
look at Geodes http://www.geodiscovery.com/home.html
are they breaking the HS rules?
And how about Widcom http://www.widcomm.com/ major violater to the HS rules
and http://www.nexian.com/
and how about OmniSky http://www.omnisky.com/
And the list goes on and on
NONE OF THESE look even close to InnoGear -- are you telling us all of these companies are not following HS rules?
I think you read the rules wrong

About all this site-stealing buisness, does it really matter?

If you had a company and worked very hard on a site and put a bunch of money into the website - would you care if someone in your same "business space" appeared with a website that looked just like yours? Or better example is - you wrote a book, and someone buys it and copies it, slips on a new cover and gives it a new name and sells them- is that ok?
I have no idea if Innogear even knows or cares -- but it should just be very embarrassing to a new company.
All it would take is a few changes here and there and I am sure then he could be even more proud of his companies site :-)

I was advised not to comment on these petty issues and didn't understand why, now I do. Nothing good will come of it! We are offering good products and you guys want to find reason after reason to argue and point blame. Have a blast I won't be part of it. I tried to help answer questions the best I could but you guys won't be satisfied. I didn't design the website nor do I know all there is about Branding other than what I was told, but you guys keep trying to find offense which is just plain childish.
I will not be responding any further.
