-- CompactFlash Springboard (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=5144)
Strongly recommend a Springboard module that will accept CompactFlash cards. That way, the Visor could tie into the existing industry-standard expansion option (and compete directly with TRGPro) while still offering plug and play capability with additional Springboard modules.
Actually, TRG should make a CF springboard that works with their implementation of CF FAT libraries and Palm OS extensions.
This way, they get to push the CF standard and their programming interface on someone else's handheld.

The problem is that TRG has no incentive to do this. They want to market the TRGPro as the only handheld with industry standard (CF) expansion options. (See their press releases.) They certainly don't want to allow Handspring to meet their claim and better it with plug and play Springboards.
That's TRG's loss. They may as well resign themselves to the fact that a CF springboard is almost an eventuality. If they did, and created a product cross-compatible, at least they'd create some revenue from CF sales. People are going to buy Handspring products if there is always an option at Handspring's current price point.
