Hi,

I am having some problems with Wordsmith and my platinum and am trying to get to the bottom of it.

I thought the best way to do this would be to do a hard reset and install one thing at a time until wordsmith starts acting up.

however, whenever i hotsync after hard resetting, the visor automatically starts putting all my software back on even though none of it is in the install options on the desktop software.

where is it getting this info from and how can i tell it not to do it? i went into the hotsynch manager thingy (custom) and put everything except the palm os apps to "do nothing" yet it doesn't want to listen.

any help appreciated.

When you do a hard reset it will try to restore everything from the backup directory. Just move that directory (located usually under C:\Palm\yourusername\backup) to another location.
