Stowaway keyboard not working at all (Prism)
I just got my Stowaway keyboard and there's no way I can make it work with my Prism. I've read several threads and tried everything:
- drivers v.1.0 and 1.5
- soft reset
- reinstall driver
- beam on and off
- turning the Visor off before plugging it
- turning it on and off
- disabling and enabling keyboard driver
etc.
and it still doesn't work at all. I don't have any hacks nor overclocking software.
Any ideas?
I've tried another keyboard and it doesn't work either.
This may sound simplistic, but are you sure your Prism is attached correctly to the keyboard? I had ALOT of trouble (in fact I had bought a Stowaway in March, couldn't get my Prism on & returned it). I just bought another Stowaway last weekend, and it's working fine. I was afraid I was "forcing" it and didn't want to break my Prism. It's very hard to line up & put on correctly the first few times.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

One other tip
Try turning the Prism on then off again while it is attached to the keyboard. Worked for me when I had problems.

I finally found the solution!!! The keyboard driver has an option for choosing the keyboard type, and the default selection is no keyboard!
I seem to have the same problem getting my keyboard to function.
Can you tell me how to activate the keyboard as you described?

I finally got the stowaway to work by downloading a new driver from the Targus site. Works fine now.
