Things I like about Visors. Like those logos!
Aesthetic stuff I like about Visors:
They've got colors! (oh everyone likes that)
Those little doodled icons on the buttons. Sure beats those square buisness climate icons.
The names. Solo. Prism. Edge. Visor. Deluxe. Sure beats IIIxecqrdgjf and m5million, etc.
The ribbed edges on the deluxe, pro, and neo.
The translucent back.
The translucent cradle.
Now why hasn't any other company tried to make their PDA's pretty (well, besides Compaq)? Palm works overtime to make their's ugly! What's the point? That's why I probably bought a visor in the first place (I still don't have a module).

The Handspring Visors are awesome, no doubt. I think the Visor Edge is the best looking PDA out there by far. However, the Sony Clie's are very nice looking too. Don't forget about them. I like the look of the N700 series, and the T400 and T600 series are pretty nice too. Sony takes into account aesthetics as well...
Now Palm....eww, m505 looks like crap...And HandEra, they make a good machine, but I must say it looks very ugly...LOL
Ewwy! I must say the iPAQs look pretty ugly too...nothing compared to a Visor Edge or a Sony Clie...I hate the look of them...

My God, can't someone compliment a Visor without bringing a freaking Sony into it?
LOL, mah bad...
He just said that Handspring seems to be the ONLY company trying to go for aesthetics. Sony and Handspring seem to be the ones leading the aesthetics and innovation in the PalmOS market, though Handspring is pulling out now...Hopefully module prices will drop...lol, hehe...

Handspring makes some pretty cool casings. The first handheld I ever wanted was the iPAQ because it sounded so cool. I know that was as wrong as can be, LOL. The second handheld I wanted was a Visor Deluxe, I had seen the ads in PCMag, and they looked awesome. Wayyyy better than those dull Palm III's...but times have changed, and Sony has come into town. LOL, you can draw parallels to gurlz again, haha. It's like the sophomores, they're cute, but the freshmen have come into town...they're crazy cute...and they keep pouring in.

Hmm. I really like the Visor, but I've never been crazy about the looks of it, even though it was designed by IDEO. Actually, the Treo is the coolest looking handheld I've seen, in my book -- a Trekkie fantasy. Sony's handhelds keep getting better and better looking. I haven't seen a PPC that I've liked the looks of yet. The Palm III was boring, but felt better in my hand than the Visor.
Best Logo Award goes to Handspring.
Handspring's tradition of naming rather than numbering models is a practice other companies should emulate, especially Sony

Yea, the regular Visors are nice, but not crazy like the Edge! The Palm IIIs were ugly, but I'm starting a new hobby. Trying to get some old Palm IIIs and fix 'em up. Add memory, new casing, flip cover, hehe. Just need some money...make 'em look nice.
Yup, Sony's logo is simply "SONY, "and Palm's logo is simply "Palm," they must have spent millions in graphic design there
.
Sony is confusing the heck outta everyone...S300, 320, 360. T400, 415. T600, 615, 625. PEG-N600, 610, 660, 700, 710, 760, 770. I'm starting to lose track, and I'm hard core sony...they gotta start thinking about names...and add a letter to them for different versions. like 'u' for the US, 'g' for germany, 'a' australia, 'j' for japan, or something like that...
You're in South Pasadena? I'm in Arcadia cool...never heard of that coffeeshop, maybe I'll come down sometime

Uh oh! Should I be expecting a lawsuit? Well, not from Enron. . .

quote:heh...well, actually I was referring to the similarity of Enron's logo to Elektra's. Yours is obviously a parody of the former's and hence fair use.

You're about 10 minutes away from Busters. Take Huntington to Fair Oaks, left on Mission, and Busters is a couple of blocks west. In the evenings you have a 50% chance of finding me there!
