Question

I just received my 8M flash module today (rev 1.2) and i noticed when I put the module back in, the category for the apps on the module have gone back to default. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have the same problem. Synergy Solutions is arare of this issue, but told me that it will require a significant change in the way Launch'Em tracks the assignment of apps to tabs. I'm hoping it will be addressed in their next version.

There is a workaround as follows:

Create a tab that only contains apps that are in RAM. I have named one springboard and leave it empty. Then change the default DB Placement preference to this tab. All new apps wil now show up here and can then be dragged to wherever you want. This includes the self installed apps from springboard modules. Now whenever you are switching from the 8mb Flash module to another module switch to this tab first. When you insert another module its self-installing apps will appear in the currently open tab, the springboard tab. If you are using the back-up module, for instance, you can then perform a back-up. Afterwards tap the home silkscreen box and you will go back to Launch'Em in the springboard tab. Then you can just swap modules back to the 8mb module. When you switch tabs in Launch'Em all your apps will still be right where you left them.

It seems complicated, but once you try it it is really no big deal. I imagine this will work for other modules as long as you don't switch Launch'Em tabs from the springboard tab while your 8mb module is out of the Visor.
