Unhappy HotSync Error 25616?

Hey, everyone,

Looking for some enlightenment on this HotSync problems -- the Sync starts, but fails about a quarter of the way through. I'm currently following Handspring's HotSync troubleshooting FAQ and am downloading the newest version of PalmDesktop, and we'll see if that helps.

Here's the details: I've got a Visor Deluxe with Palm OS 3.1, and I'm syncing with a 1st generation iMac with Mac OS 9.1.

I'm also installing AvantGo on this sync, and I'm wondering if that isn't the problem, as you can see from the Log Details below:

"Loading "Install Conduit"
Conduit "Install" version 2.0.0
Sync type is Fast
- Failed with error number 25616
synchronization failed
Install synchronization failed
HotSync Canceled 9.1.01 5:06:51 PM"

Well, never mind, anyway, it was cleared up when I installed the newer version of Palm Desktop.

I often have problems syncing to Avantgo -- and I use two desktops. I find that deleting the temp files -- using disk cleanup and rebooting takes care of the problem.

That's what might have cleared it up for you -- through the installation of the new desktop--

Should also mention that I get double Avantgp entries when I switch machines--- PC(s) and/or PDA(s)
but all I have to do is access Avantgo and then double entries disappear.

This is not an actual double entry --only in Ram usage--again it is erased when I access Avantgo the first time.

This is what Google finds off Avantgo's pages:

Make sure you are using HotSync Manager 2.6.1.
