-- Velcro on the back of the Visor & the Sync Cradle (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=12410)
I recently purchased the case that is supposed to hold the Visor & the Stowaway keyboard from Targus. Until now I have been using the case that came with the Visor.
The new case requires a piece of velcro be affixed to the back of the Visor in order to hold it in the case.
When looking at it I cannot figure out how you are supposed to put a piece of velcro on the Visor & for there to still be room for it to fit in the sync cradle. It seems that the velcro is too thick.
How do people resolve the problem. I know that you have to make sure that the hole is not covered on the back of the Visor and that you don't want to have the velcro on just a portion of the rear section that is slides off in order to put add on's in.
What am I missing?
Don't feel bad, I must have missed something too.
I had a case that I loved that required a piece of velcro to be affixed to the back of the Visor. I stuck it on the cover to the springboard slot because I couldn't find anywhere else to put it. That worked fine until my Visor started slipping out of the case (minus the springboard slot cover of course) and until I purchased a 8mb module that I leave in at all times. I ended up selling the case and purchasing one directly from Handspring (the kind that the Visor snaps into). A lot of people don't like them, but it has served me well. It's not as attractive as my old case, but it is more functional.
Sorry I can't answer your question - I'd also like to know if people have found a way to get around this. I just don't see how you can use a Visor in a velco-style case.
I had the same problem. Got round it by attaching the velcro to the stupid plastic cover that came with the Visor.
Now my Visor snaps into the plastic cover and that is held into the case.
It's not very elegant but it's fairly secure and it works.
