Anyone ever had this type of problem with BrowseIt?
I had successfully configured an ISP and was using BrowseIt to surf the web. I came to a site that seemed to be taking a long time to load, so I tapped the "cross" icon in BrowseIt to stop the page from loading.
This caused a Fatal Exception error that required me to reset my Visor. Now each time I try to start up BrowseIt, it tells me that the application did not exit cleanly and asks if I want to delete any problematic databases. I have tried answering yes and no to this question, and no matter what I do, I get a Fatal Exception that requires a reset.
Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated at this point.
Just get rid of Browse-It, and install ProxiWeb.
Have you tried deleting BrowseIt from your Visor, and reinstalling or using Blazer http://www.bluelark.com/products/blazer/download.php , Eudora Web http://www.eudora.com/internetsuite/download/ , or any other free web browser.
Thanks for the input, folks.
What I ended up doing was deleting Browse-it from the Thinmodem memory.
I then contacted Card-Access and they sent me a copy of Browse-it as a separate file. I installed this and all seems fine.
Now I am curious - are the browsers that you mention better than Browse-it??
Regards,
Chris
Browse-it v. All other Browsers
Sounds like a ripe topic for a review.

I have been hooked on Blazer ever since I tried it. I also have the thin modem and had occasional fatal errors with Browse It.
I must be very thick today...
I checked out the Blazer product that some of you refer to and all I can see is stuff about a wireless browser...I can't use that with my Thinmodem...am I looking at the wrong site?
Cheers,
Chris
I know their site is confusing since it does only mention wireless, but believe me, as long as you have a connection to the net be it wireless or wired, it will work. I use the thin modem myself.
