I just upgraded to MS Office 2000 Premium and the help they give to try and get my visor to sync mail doesn't help, anybody know how to deal with this?

Thanks
Ted

Just wondering, have you tried to re-install the Palm software after you installed Office 2000?

Can't say that i have, but i've rerun the mail sync portion of the palm desktop a couple of times. That part works fine, far as I can tell, i jsut can't get any sort of setting that allows me to make outlook express my default MAPI device. It is my default IMAP device though, so i'm halfway there.

I had a problem with Outlook Express also. When I went under tools/options and selected the button to make OE my default mail handler it wouldn't take (even though it was already the default mail handler! go figure)
I went to microsoft.com and downloded the most recent update for OE 5. After the update was installed I was able to select the option of making OE my default mail handler and it worked!

Hope this helps.

I can't find that update you mentioned, I'm running Outlook Express 5, from Microsoft Office 2000 Premium on Windows 98. The microsoft site won't get me anything for that otehr than Y2K updates for express. I'm still having trouble with it obviously because i can't find any sort of MAPI settings.

The partial solution i've found is to tell the palm desktop to use Microsoft Exchange, and i'm back to using netscape messenger, which i like better anyhow, only problem is i only get new messages, and i don't get any body.

any help from anyone is still appreciated.

Just for your own info...Outlook Express is not a part of Office 2000, Outlook 2000 is. This might help in preventing confusion.
