Question

I just upgraded from the deluxe to the prism. I downloaded the software for the prism, however I cannot get it to hot sync... it keeps telling me that "the connection between your handheld computer and the desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again"... I have checked the USB port several times, and also reinstalled the software a number of times... any suggestions? anyone have this problem? Also, it installs 3.1 version, and I thought the prism was 3.5, could this be my problem? please advise.

I had some problems with this too.

First, the palm desktop version is 3.1, the os is 3.5. they
aren't related.

I wound up uninstalling the desktop completely, and then
starting over. That worked, but all of my conduits were
screwed up, so I wound up ininstalling and re-installing
all of those. The joys.

Talking

A proper uninstallation depends on your OS. What version of computer OS (example Windows or Mac) are you running?

I finally got the hot sync to work. When I unplugged all other USB apps, it worked fine. Now it seems it only works in one of the USB ports, even though printer etc. works in the other ports.

well,

depending on what kind of USB hub you're using, some devices like to be first. I haven't seen this happen with either my VDX or Prism cradles.
