Can someone give a newbie some info on using the hotsynch cable to synch a prism. I will be using it while traveling and I would prefer not to bring the cradle along but I can't quite seem to figure out how to to a hot synch using the cable.

When using the cable, you need to go into the HotSync app on the Visor and start a sync by tapping the Local Sync icon. You'll find the HotSync app under the System and All categories.
