For those of you that dont use rechargeables, the new Energizer titanium batteries last longer than the duracell ultra's. I use my VDX about 2 hours a day runtime, and on the Ultra's I got 13-14 days, but with the titanium batteries I am at 22 days and still at haven't dipped below 2.3 volts

let us know how they stack up $ wise, cost per day of use or . . .

Hi All,
I'm using a pair of these Energizer "e2" titanium battery now. They sell for $3.29 for a pack of four. I had a $1.00 off coupon as part of a seperate circle shape brocure that is on display right next to these new battery. I like the e-snap recloseable package they come in (very smart idea). I guess it to soon for a brief review on performance but they do look real sporty. I should be able to read more of my e-books on these batteries :-).

Anyone else seeing evidence of contact crud buildup? I noticed that my power indicator was looking low today, even though I had just changed my rechargeables (Accu's). I opened the battery door and rotated the batteries in place (around the long axis) and the power level came up to full.

I suppose this is because I carry my Vdx in my pants pocket where lint can get into the battery compartment.

It always comes a bit low when youre replacing batteries, just turn it on and wait for the meter to refresh.

I know it takes a second when the batteries are new...this was different.

The Titaniums are supposed to last 85% longer than regular alkalines, according to Popular Science. Just wanted to throw in that trivia

So, where cann I goet some of those e2 batteries... i've tried ebay, yahoo, ubid, Radioshack... and can't find any.... the guy from radioshack didn't even knew what the e2 is..... i'm dying to try it on my BVD.

I saw some the other day in a grocery store (Krogers), so they should be available anywhere.

Hello. I read a post at another website wherein a Palm owner claimed to get over a month life out of plain Eveready Heavy Duty batteries. Something about Duracell Ultras and the like being good for high-current draw items like motorized toys, etc. while the Evereadys excel at low-current draw items like PDAs. Anybody else have a similar experience? Wish I made note of the website, but if I find it again, I'll post the address here.

Has anybody found the titanium batteries for sale on the web? Speaking of this, if VisorCentral sold batteries, I would probably buy them here.

I replaced my Duracells w/ Ultras on 31 March. Replaced them w/ regular Duracells on 11 July. 102 days on the Ultras.

I finally found the Energizer e2 (titanium) batteries at Walmart. They were selling a pack of 4 for $4.19 and the display was loaded with little pamphlets that explained the battery and contained a $1.00 coupon. To make it easier for the rest of you to spot, the batteries and lower half of the package are silver and the upper portion of the package is a dark orange.

Please help, I can't find these batteries for the life of me at any brick store. Is there anyplace where they can be bought online?

While we are on the subject, I am using NIMH�s and so far I am not very happy. I am lucky I can get 3 hours runtime on them. They just do not seem to hold up anywhere near as long as other have reported. My Visor has from day one gone through batteries fast. Am I the only one with this problem? I would kill to get even two weeks out of it. Only once did I hit a runtime of 0d 04:00, my average seems to be 0d 2:30.
I have been rotating the same set, maybe they are bad, I don�t know. I tried Duracell as well and while better, in no way lasted weeks. I will try again. I like just recharging but hate to have to change them everyday. I am on 0d 00:15 runtime right now and have dropped to 2.36v/30%. I do use afterburner but most programs are set to run default and the ones set faster are only set for l22mhz and I don�t use them that much. Just a weird thing I have wanted to get more feedback on.

Does anyone know of a program that will keep a running time for the handspring? I.E. starts timing when on and stops when you turn the handspring off. This would really help quantify how long batteries last.
