Visor 2mb acting crazy

I'm helping a user in our firm with his handspring visor. he's been working fine until recently when his handspring started doing weird things. First, it acts as if it's getting input. It switches screens and scrolls through menus on its own. Sometimes it will start a program like hotsync. I've done several soft resets, but the problem starts right back up. I cannot use the graffiti or get a response when I touch the screen with the stylus. The only control I have over the pda is the four quick access buttons at the bottom. They seem to work fine.

I have not been able to find any information on this kind of problem. In fact, I don't know how to begin searching for this kind of problem. it's so weird. Thanks for your help

Sounds like junk or a screen protector between the screen and the case. Perhaps you could try cleaning out any stuff there.
