I just tried to install the irenhanc (downloaded from palm.com) on my Visor Deluxe. After the required soft reset the Visor hangs at the reset splash screen.
Anyone familiar to this?

If you installed all the files in the IR enhancement package, do a WARM reset (hold the UP button while pressing reset) and then remove the AMX.prc file. After removing the file, do a SOFT reset. The AMX file is NOT compatable with the Visor and causes the lockups you describe.

But what does this mean for me really? I have an Ericsson cellphone with IR and built in modem which I want to use for remote hotsyncing and surfing with AvantGo, isn't this exactly what this AMX.prc file is for?
