Hi guys, I'm a new visor user and novice discussion forum person, so if I do this wrong, sorry. Anyway, my question is about advantages of using Outlook vs Desktop as your primary program. I have been using a great program called ECCO but it was bought my microsoft and no longer supported. I have stayed away from Outlook on my PC cause of its virus magnet characteristics. Since my long term goal is to use my prism as my primary tool, rather than my desktop machine, what would you guys advice?
=)
First of all, Palm wasn't meant to replace your PC, it comliments it. If you don't use Outlook, and don't want to, there is no point start using it just for you PDA, the best thing to do is look for some software would use ECCO to hotsync to your prism, if there aren't any, just use the Palm Desktop. =) The advantage of using Outlook is that people already use outlook wouldn't need to start use a new program and type in all that stuff again. =)

Always have my Visor with me...... =)

I use Outlook because it is the standard at my job. That way I can sync both at work and at home everyday. I do have different items that I sync only at one of the location.
I'm like you, I have come to consider my Visor as my main computer. It is with me all the time and I continue to expand it. (16MB Flash card, Stowaway Keyboard, Visorphone, battery back-up, etc.)
As for Viruses - simple rule - When you see an attachment listed on an email, delete it and empty your recycle bin.

If you get a wireless modem service like the VisorPhone, OmniSky, Yadayada, etc., then you wouldn't have to use your PC to send or receive email at all.
