-- VPL vs CLIE (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=14894)
I'm hoping to get a new PDA in a few month when i go to singapore. i currently own an m100.....
and am trying to make a choice between the CLIE and the Visor Platinum.... both are pretty cheap at the moment....
i was wondering what the people here think as i have been watching this site since the day it started, but i know it will probably be biased towards the VPL..
You're right. We'll be biased toward the platinum. What are your pda needs?

Which version of the Clie are we talking about?
I assume the (older) black/white one...
The Clie is smaller, I think 2Mb and has a jog-dail, but probably more expensive.
The VPl is faster and has the sprinboard slot and 8Mb....
It all depends on what you are looking for...

Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?
I was looking at the two of those PDAs too. But I went with Platinum. The physical dimensions of the Clie seemed really narrow, and I really didn't care much for the jog-dial. There doesn't seem to be very many applications out there that take advantage of it anyway. I may be wrong, but I also think that the Platinum is faster. Then you have all those cool Springboard modules you can get. Believe me, I love Sony. They make great TVs, monitors, VCRs, CD-players, but your handheld should be a Handspring.
