Someone posted this a whil back...did anyone ever sign up and get it? I had a friend who was signing up and promised me the Visor but then she decided to go to Schwab.

Figures -- they're only giving away the 2Meg version...

Could be worse...Although I don't know how they compare as far as how large an account you need to set up, ETrade's only offering a (discontinued!) Palm IIIe.

It's not quite "free" if you have to pay for an account However, check out this thread for a real way to get one for free (it just may take a little bit longer!)

If you're planning on opening an account with atleast $10,000 already, it makes sense. After all, if you play the market well, you can make $2000 off of that in just a few days (the trick is playing it right )

You are just going to get the 2MB Deluxe for opening an account of $10,000.

I opened an account 2 months ago when the requirement was a $1000 deposit held in the account for 6 months. The requirement jumped to $10,000 to be held for 1 year the following day, so I just made it under the wire. The offer is now back to only a $1000 minimum for 6 months. They say wait 6-8 weeks, and I am now in week 9 with no Visor. They assure me that the order will ship this week, however, so we shall see. Also note this is for a 2 Mb Visor and cradle, not a Deluxe.
As pointed out before, it's a decent deal if you have $1000 lying around. Be warned though that if you invest that money with DLJ and your investments go south, you violate the agreement, since the $1000 minimum must be maintained "at all times".
I'll post back when (if?) I finally receive the Visor.
