What is BLogger

What is BLogger and what happends when you "BLog this"
It looks like a really neat idea from what I gather, but I am not getting the whole jist of it. Can someone "dumb it down' a tad for me? Or the "Idiots guide to Blogger" will work too.

Blogger is a service that lets you write a journal online. When you click BlogThis!, it starts a new page in your journal with a link to the page you clicked the button on.
