Datebook Time Shift Problem
This *has* to be a common problem with a simple solution - I've been trying for days now and can't figure it out:
Here's my problem, I had the wrong timezone set on my desktop when I started entering all my appointments - when I went to sync with my laptop - all the apointments became shifted by 3 hours (pacific vs atlantic).
When I changed the timezone on my desktop to the correct one - all the apointments on my desktop ALSO shifted by 3 hours!
Other than having both computers set to the wrong timezone - does anyone know how to make Palm Desktop shift all appointments by a certain number of hours?
Or along the same note - how to change the system settings to the correct timezone - without having the Palm Desktop automatically track.
It's a great feature for traveling, but Man did screw me up!
Thanks for any help,
jr
Not sure if this will work but it may be worth a try:

I'd rather be upside down in my kayak than rightside up at my desk.
In this specific scenario, Jupe's recommendation is sound but I'd suggest that you:
1) Check the appointments on the Desktop (easier because of the screen view and UI);
2) Before performing any sync'ing activity, ensure the date and time of both the Desktop and the Visor match. Don't forget to double check the time zone setting on the PC.
3) Then... perform the sync of Handheld Overwrites Desktop (you could very well perform a Desktop Overwrites Handheld if the same data resides on both devices).
Additional information of time zones, how they can muck up your Datebook and ToDo information and how to handle such scenarios can be found on the Palm Support site (just search on "Time Zone").
