-- stowaway + serial cable chicanery? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=3700)
All,
Now that i have the stowaway in my grubby little hands i was thinking. with the programs out there that let you emulate vt100, it'd be handy to plug a visor into a screenless terminal and type with the keyboard. Can anyone think of a way to link the visor to a computer (serial a guess) while plugged into the stowaway?
I know this is kind of crazy, i just want to get a dialog going to see if this is even possible.

Well... as has been discussed before... the Visor does not have a true serial port like the Palm's do. It can support serial syncing and external keyboards, but little else. Therefore, the answer to your question (at the moment anyway) would be no.
p.s.: Wash your hands!!! The Stowaway is too nice to use with grubby ones!

Actually, you can do this.
I do it all the time now to configure
Cisco devices and UNIX boxes.
Get the diagnostics module www.efig.com
It will let you connect to any serial
device and use any of the vt100 utilities out there.
