This is going to significantly hurt the availability of good ethernet cards, if Intel does what they did when they bought DEC's excellent Tulip chipset and dumped it down the sewer. What it means for the Springport line is anyone's guess.

This also might explain the sudden disappearance of the wired ethernet module. No point in spending money on producing something if the upcoming company might be cancelling it anyway. Disturbing news. :/
