Prism Screen Flicker ?!

The Handspring Visor Prism has one of the brightest displays with vivid colors, but what�s that occasional flicker in screen brightness, now and again at odd moments, with no particular discernible regularity?! Much has been said in these forums about this unfortunate characteristic, including a variety of �cures�, all of which have proven unreliable, etc. Yet I for one have yet to see a clear explanation of precisely what is actually happening. The complete irregularity of these well known �flickers� in brightness, normally would all but guarantee that a weak component is malfunctioning, but this can�t be, since it occurs in most = �probably all� prisms, now on the market for well over a year. How about it Handspring, is this a design deficiency, or what?! Now that your company seems to be about to �give-up-the-ghost� why not come clean with all of us, and get a higher spot in PDA heaven!
