after pulling my VDX off of the stowaway keyboard I am unable to use the shift and dot commands using Grafitti. A soft reset will correct this. I normally turn my VDX off prior to attaching and removing from the keyboard.

Instead of soft resetting, try disabling the keyboard driver. Sometimes that works and saves having to reset.

I find that this problem is much less likely to occur if I remove my Visor from the Stowaway BEFORE turning the Visor off. If it had timed out and turned itself off before I remove it, I turn it ON before removing it.

Visor should be OFF when connecting to the keyboard and ON when removing.
