-- what kind of car are you driving? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=4669)
1998 Dodge Dakota 4X4 (For fun)
1996 Geo Metro (To combat $2.00/gal. gas, it gets 54 mpg. I bought it with 13 on the odometer; it now has 110,000, and I've had no mechanical problems at all (wish I could say the same for the Dodge).
I'd like to know why alot of ppl think SUV's as clunky. i've driven much more clunky cars thatn SUV with the exception of ford's. they are clunkers, well @ least all the ones i've driven. anyhow
I got a 2 door 95 suzuki sidekick, convertable (got the hard top, and yes it's warm in the winter!) 5 speed (don't even talk to me about auto's. I hate them with a pasion. but i love 5 speed.)
i got it with 80k now has 120k never had one problem with it. always starts and gets the job done. even when i overload it, and i mean overload it! very echonomical. gets 40MPG HWY, (fergot what that is in kilometers, though i should know)
i've used it to carry, push pull, drag, well everytyhing. i'm always up to something ans only SUV's will fit the bill. i've carried a washer, a dryer. a small fridge, cement blocks, bricks, signs, computers, monitors, TV's, desks
heck you name it. i could never stand a small car. my sidekick is smaller than a civic, i weave in and out of trafic, and can do alot more with it. just like my visor
visor = palm SUV. :P ver versital.
now all i'm missing is the mp3 SB for it and i'll be happy. i've already got a GPS unit(bought it a while ago for the boat, anothing thing a car can't do, towe my boat)
also great when you go compleatly off road (and i mean off road)
eheh the only thing it has't done is die on me with the hard life it leads. it's usualy pushed beyond it's design parameters but then again i'm that kinda guy who pushes the limits to everthing. heck i got a dual celeron 400 overclocked to 600 each. thats 1.2 GHZ!
BTW: if you need to test beyond the known limits i'm the guy. :P eheh there is't anything i own that i have't had to open or change to suit my needs exactly. eheh.
well cept my visor(black, dont' care what they call it, it's still black)
but that will soon change once i get a little more time.
:P

Good luck, Ryan! You won't be dissapointed. I have a light silver 2000 Saturn SL1, and it's a great car - any folks who might have been put off by Saturn's earlier offerings (Noisy, clunky, like many GM products) should give them another look.
1997 Lexus ES300

For style and comfort, I have a 2000 BMW 323i, fern green, sand leather, automatic.
For getting around in places most cars shouldn't go, I have a '94 Suzuki Sidekick JLX, hunter green, automatic.
92 Nissan Sentra - it's paid off so I can buy toys like Visors...I seem to buy laptops and PDAs (2 each in the intervening time) more often than cars.
I don't know if SUVs are clunky to drive or not, but I HATE trying to see around them...I park next to a big one and one benefit of working late is that I don't have to back out of my space without knowing what's coming from the left side.
Trade the Sentra in for an old pick-up and throw all your electronics in the back! Aggies have always been cowboy engineers anyway. That way you not only will be able to see around those SUVs, you can also be sure they'll be able to see you!
Gig 'em y'all!

AMEN Bobbymike! 'Sides, if you are in a truck/SUV, you are up high enough to see these kinds of problems develop. Kinda like being proactive
I was right down the road...Go Bearkats!
My vehicle is a 1999 Dodge Sport Quad Cab Truck, fully loaded, leather, nerf bars, the whole nine yards!! "If you can't dodge'em, RAM'EM. But, I purchased the graphite VDx, I and my truck luv it.

Previous Car 1987 Yugo died after 175,000 mi
Current Car 1992 Saturn
'98 Ford Explorer.
* If it's less than 80 degrees outside, our '91 Ford Escort w/ broken air conditioner is an option.
I've got a jazz blue 1998 VW Cabrio convertible with a tan top. It nicely matches my Blue Visor Dlx.
I find most VW owners share the same rabid enthusiam for their cars that visor-heads share for their visors. Or, to paraphrase one of my favorite VW commercials, "Visor Owners really LOVE their PDA's!"
'90 BMW 325iS Red w/ Black Leather----why didn't they release a Red Visor!!!--I love Red I have Red LEDs on computer..Red backlights on instrument panel...Red Sony Xplod headunit (for my birthday next month!) in my car--if only my Visor could have been color coordinated
