According to Seiko phone person the new improved Smartpad will be available in 3-4 weeks. This one works with the Visor. Hopefully it will be improved in the previously weak areas that have been discussed here discussed.

PS Selling in Europe as the Smartpad 2E with version 1.6 of the software. BTW Google translated the German word for Handspring to Handbranch.

At least it wasn't "HandJob"! (Now, before you get all hot & bothered under the collar [?], realize that handjob can be defined as "something that is not done automatically, via machine or other device," etc.)
Anyway, that's good news on the SmartPad -- NOT TOO SMART making it incompatible w/1,000,000+ Visors, huh?
I have a couple of newbie friends I'd like to buy the thing for ... but it's GOT to work with VISORS, Seiko (in German, spelled: "Sicko"!)

I was able to find some pages on the web that talk about the new one. Search on Smartpad 2e, that is the european name. It still got some fairly low reviews.
