Glitch on screen won't go away!

I couple of days ago I noticed a big multipixel digital glitch on my Visor Deluxe screen. It is there when the unit is off and it is there even when I take the batteries out.

How did my screen get damaged and how can I fix it?

Sounds like a bad LCD to me. If you're still under warranty, contact Handspring and see if you can obtain a replacement.
