-- Scratched and Cracked Screen? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=2592)
I noticed that my Visor Deluxe was getting very scratched up in the writing area. I was just reading a post last night about how that was a problem for some people. However, today my visor was in my pocket as it always has been, (With Cover on) and when I removed it, I was amazed to see that the screen has a large crack in it!! The actual plastic screen is not cracked, it is instead like the lcd under the plastic is damaged and I has been "burned out" in a big circle. I am unsure how this happened, since it was not dropped or smashed that I am aware of. My question is what are my options when talking to tech support? Do I tell them this or would there be a better way to describe my situation so I receive a more favorable result?? Thanks in advance..
One of my friends just dropped his Visor. He called Tech Support and confessed. They said the first replacment is "free". The second, he said they told him, will cost either 50 or 75 dollars, (I forgot which).
However, this is different. It seems that you may have a different problem. I would call Support and tell them all the details. If you are positive that you did not in any way do the damage, keep pressing them until they own up. I would ask to speak to a Supervisor if you have to. Hope this helps.

Well I called tech support today, and told them about the scratches, and the fact that the screen has a "black hole" on it now, but the screen itself was not cracked. They did not even question anything!! They are sending my new Visor Deluxe out today...said I would have it in 1-2 days!! I am so glad I bought a VISOR....even if it did take 3 mths to get the first one! Woo-Hoo ...
