I was wondering now that Palm is supporting USB and handspring has not released a new desktop version. I the new palm version compatible? Also when is handspring suspected to release a new color device?? Any thoughts?? I really like to m505 form factor but love the prism's color.

2.6.3 was extremely fast on my machine, but it didn't sync properly. it would let the desktop overwrite the handheld, and you could synchronize, but i couldn't get it to allow the handheld to overwrite the desktop. And on the Datebook conduit, it would disconnect the HotSync entirely. I went back to 2.6.1, which is unbelievably slow (sometimes ten or 15 minutes just "determining handheld configuration" but at least is reliable.

Get Palm Desktop 4.0.1

Though Handspring doesn't support Palm Desktop 4.0 or 4.0.1. It has USB support natively. So you don't need a work around anymore. I've installed 4.0.1 on three machines and they all sync fine.

Sorry - i should have been clear - 2.6.3 on my Mac. i have 4.0.1 at the office and it works fine.
