I just upgraded to a Prism from my GVDx (thanks to the whole compusa rebate goof). On my old Vdx I used to IR sync to my notebook using beamsync. But when I now try it with the prism (ir sync built into the OS) it goes about 10 times slower than my Vdx did. Anyone else having that problum? Or any ideas?

Nevermind. I got it figured out. THough I think its kind of goofy. I was using THe standard IR to a PC/Handheld configuration. But for some reason the max speed on it is set to 57600 bps. But if I make my own ir connection I can set the speed to 115,200 bps, which works fine. Though I'm curious as to why the max is 57600 for the default?

Interesting! I synched my platinum to my Mac G3 and it took an eon! I just made that setup and will try it.

Hmmmm.... just checked the standard USB setting and it was also set to 57k!! Made a new one and got the option of 230,400!! Hotsync boogies now!
