Batteries Show Low After Overnite Charge

I charged my batteries overnight in my Prism's USB charger. Yes, the power IS connected and the little green light at the lower right-hand corner of the Prism blinked to show it was charging.
In the morning, I looked and saw it fully charged, as well as my visorphone, which was in it at the time.

Later, I looked at my Prism and it was at ONLY 1/6th charge! That was TOO quick! So I fiddled with it, saw my VP at full charge, so I took out the VP and just charged the Prism without it in my Prism USB cradle. It charged, but what was funny was that it showed a FULL charge when it was connected to the cradle.

Later, I went out, thinking it was alright. I looked, and it was at the SAME 1/6th LEVEL! So I plug it into my car charger, and now it does the same thing it did in the cradle, it reads a FULL CHARGE when connected to a power source. WEIRD!

When I disconnect it from the power, it goes back to 1/6th charge and tells me my battery power is low.

What gives! I don't want to lose all my data, I DID hotsync, but I am adding stuff every hour.

HELP!

Thanks!

Use of 4in1 Aftermarket Charger

I DID use a 4in1 charger / hotsync CABLE that seemed to be a grand idea. I've only used it once. I bought it from ebay, with the assurances that the cable was spec'd to the visor prism.

Here is the title and link:

4in1 Handspring Visor Prism Sync& CAR Charger
Item # 1357139225

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...item=1357139225

Has anyone seen or heard of this item?

Put the Prism in the cradle and do a soft reset. This resets the
internal charging circuit. It should charge fine after that.

Well done! Now it charges

Alright, it's cool. Just a little scary sometimes.

Now, if only I can access my hotmail via blazer or eudora web!
