I have a back up module in my Blue deluxe which I am selling. can I keep the back up module and use it with my prism or do i need to get a new one??

Nope, your backup module will work. It may give you a warning about the backup on the module being from another handheld, but just go ahead and do the backup anyway. It'll function fine on the Prism.
