Thumbs up

Alright, I just got my blue visor dlx from amazon.com and it rocks! From someone who has previsously used an original palm (ancient, made by U.S Robotics :-) ) this is a huge step up. Way to go handspring.

PCG: congratulations! I've had a black Vdx for 13 months now and it HAS NEVER let me down. Just a phenomenal device. I was also a graduate of a Palm Pilot Professional. Piece of advice: buy the back-up module. Use it often; but store it outta site. Don't keep with your Visor (lest if you lose, break or crash it, you risk losing the backup module as well.) Wise investment. Read these boards; there are quite a few people DYING for the sexy springboard modules, but the decidely "less sexy" but most valuable module I own is the back-up module. I'll assume you're already in-the-know about screen protectors, since you are a previous Palm user. Congrats again!

welcome pcg.

Congrats and welcome to the Visor "cult." It's not a bad thing, it's just we tend to bleed ice, green, blue, orange and now platinum blood. I think you'll enjoy your VDX very much and you will soon be asking all the really good questions (the ones we all "know" the answers to) like which is better Action Names or Datebk4? Tinysheet or Quicksheet? But these are the questions that all new born users will eventually have to discover for themselves. We're always open. I wish you good luck and no "Fatal Exceptions".

Don't forget Cobalt Blue... wouldn't want to exclude all the Prism owners out there.

That's what the Backup Module is for!

Cool Platinum Christmas

My Sweet wife bought me a PLatinum for Christmas to replace my shorting <?> out PIII, SPent her whole Christms bonus on it including a Leather case!! Thank God I got her a diamond cross ;-).

I also started with USR Pilot Pro whish I still have in a drawer. I love the memory and speed, though the PIII fits & feels better. I hope the paint stays on and wish it had an integral flip lid. Of course, with the standard padded case, it might be better prepared for those slides off the dash board!!

Gotta get a new PDA Panache stylus and sell the Pilot and PIII!

You CAN get a flip lid for it, at http://www.tactilis.com. Or see the review here:
