I know it is possible to recharge the battery if the company makes us a special USB cradle that not only for file transfer but for battery recharge as well. That would have been no neat...

Currently, the Visor CANNOT be recharged from any cradle (the exisiting cradles obviously don't have a charger, plus the Visor itself has no connection between the battery compartment and the docking connector). Handspring has said that future models may have charging capabilities.

A while back, there was a discussion about a do-it-yourself charging cradle.

You may want to monitor the following site:

They have a rechargable Visor solution that I've been waiting for. A friend of mine has their Palm Solution and loves it. He says it recharges just fine in his Palm III cradle and doesn't interfer with anyting. So maybe someday soon they will release the Visor version.

Take Care,
Jerry

I've seen the site and I love the idea. I just hope that their sales to Palm users haven't been hurt by the fact that Palm users who prefer rechargable stands already have one in the form of the Palm V. Really, this sounds like the best solution: rechargable batteries for day-to-day which can be easily swapped for alkalines in case something unexpected happens.
