Question symbol barcode scanner & thinkDB

H'lo all,

I've recently been assigned to create an asset tracking system for the computer systems at my organization. I'm considering an Access DB in concert with the Symbol Springboad barcode scanner (http://www.symbol.com/products/cons...m150_flyer.html) and thinkDB (http://www.thinkdb.com/) on a Visor. Is anyone out there using the Symbol scanner? I saw a few threads from a few months ago discussing the release of the module, but nobody seemed to have really used it. Also, it seems that there are no reviews of this module. If someone could point me in the direction of a review, I'd appreciate it.

TIA, tpc

I have the scanner, but no software

I do have the symbol scanner, and have done absolutely nothing with it so far, besides of course use the test application that came with it and scan every bar code in sight, just to play.

It works great. I purchased mainly because I fully intended on producing some small little "Inventory" style applications for personal use. Having no time to do this, the scanner just sits.

Interested in purchasing, anyone?

Matt

I really like ThinkDB and the ability to create customized applications or rather database's without being a programmer. I have also thought about a scanner. I wonder if the scanner would work by placing the cursor in the desired field in THinkDB then scanning, if so what you are looking to do could be quite simple.

I may be interested. How much are you asking?
