Are there any "aftermarket" styli that don't scratch the Visor's screen? The stock one is horrible for scratching.

I use the PDA Panache Custom Stylus. I haven't scratched the screen yet in over a year; however, I use screen protectors as well. I have a nice 1cm scratch from the stock (all plasic) stylus back when the VDX came with that. I was playing solitare and could actually feel the tip dragging on the (unprotected) screen. I don't think that the tip itself scratched the screen but a piece of lint or dirt got caught under the tip. After that, I got a new stylus and started using screen protectors. The PDA Panache tips are very smooth and feel somewhat softer than the stock stylus (I have both the plastic stick and the 3-piece HS Deluxe stylus too). Since I use screen protectors, I dont' worry too much about styli anymore, but the PDA Panache still feels the best to write with. The one I have has an orange tip, but a couple of months ago, I bought a 3-pack of cheap stick styli form PDA Panache for around the house; they have black tips that are a harder (stiffer) plastic. I didn't like the feel of them, so now they languish on my desk. I thought that the cheapie PDA Panache styli would have the same orange tips as the Custom stylus because PDA Panache had sent me a free ball point/stylus stick that has the orange tip and actually works really well. I've played around with other brands of styli but still prefer the PDA Panache tips.

Try the pentopia

I must say that I REALLY like the pentopia styli for the Visor. I too purchased a PDA pinnache (nail) and it certaily was an upgrade from the stock stylus. When I saw the pentopia I was curious and dropped the 15 bucks. I think the reason I like it it is you can customize the feel of the tip by either losening or tightening a spring behind the tip. It is smaller than my pinache but my grafitti has improved since using this stylus. It also has a reset pin, and a ball point pen and it fits in the silo.

pda panache

I just recieved a PDA Panache stylus from amazon.com and found the reset pin broken off in the case. First time I unscrewed the top half the metal pin fell off and got lost in the carpet. I don't think I want to use something that is going to fall apart in the blister pack, so I'm returning mine.

The Visor Deluxe comes with a better stylus than the regular (2 meg) visor.

You can get a five pack at the store for about 15 bucks. The only downside is that it's a rainbow pack of all visor colors.

Fisher Space Pen Stylus

I have a Fisher Space Pen Stylus, and I have been really happy with it. Nice size and weight, writes upside down, under water and in the weightlessness of space. Oh yeah. The stylus piece is really nice too. Glides smoothly over the surface of my VDX and has helped improve my Graffiti accuracy. You can find them at http://styluscentral.com.
