-- Got my E&B Slipper (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=3908)
I was unhappy with the velcro closures on the Slipper case enough to go and post mine on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAP...;item=409606106
Especially I decided I like a few more pockets for business cards.
The velcro was just too fiddly and never kept the thing closed. The velcro always put "velcro-dust" on the screen too. Also I had a time trying to get it out of the case since it never synched in the case. Impatient, perhaps! I am waiting for the vaja with NO CLIP. I do like the flip top design, but it has to work REALLY well or I will just take the wallet style and be bulky.

AMAZING!!
I decided I would listen to all you kooks, and I taped a penny to my cradle. Sure enough - syncy with no problem. Wow. Who knew.
Milonguera - I'm glad to see there is actually someone else who wants a Vaja without the clip! I mentioned that it wasn't an option, and I wouldn't get the case until it was, and people jumped all over me about it. I'll probably put my E&B on Ebay too after I get a Vaja.

Hmmmmmmmm......
Wow, a penny can make your E & B slipper case work in the cradle? Who knew!
I read the first couple of posts on the subject, and I thought I must have misunderstood. But more and more testimonials kept popping up, and I had to try it for myself.
Maybe E & B should include a penny and some tape instead of that round thingy with the hole to make your visor sync in the cradle.
hmmmmm.

You know, I got my EB case many months ago. I got it because I hated the stock cover that came with my visor. After using my visor every day for the past few months, I am now back to using my original stock cover that came with the visor! Don't get me wrong. I really like the EB Slipper, but I think the original cover is easy to use and protects the screen much better. I guess I'm back to the basics.
Dust.
Sorry to reawaken an old thread.....
As I write this, the penny trick is working for me! The Visor and cradle don't do that nice >click< that makes me feel secure about the connection, but it worked well! The disc/sticker never worked reliably, and eventually I gave up and started taking the Visor out of the case every time.
BTW, it's always been pretty easy for me to get it out of the case. I just push from the bottom, squeezing the case as if I'm squeezing toothpaste out of the tube (starting at the bottom of the tube, "for best results").
But this is what I really wanted to say: The major downfall of the E&B Slipper, as far as I can tell, is the dust. Ever since I started using this case, I've had much more dust on my screen. I've always figured it was due to the velcro dropping dust on the screen whenever I open it. But I suppose it could also result from the small gap between the cover and the screen, but I kind of doubt that. The dust is a real problem -- it makes it harder to see the screen, harder to write on the screen, and easier to scratch the screen. Is this happening to you all, too?
I'm ready to look for alternative form-fitting cases.

Thank You!
Thank you for re-opening this thread. I did not know about the Penny Fix until today. I tried it and it works. No more cramped hand while waiting for my serial hotsync at work to finish.
Thanks!!
Re: Re: Dust.
Ben, don't get your hopes up. I've had my Slipper for six months, and the dust problem has not gone away. I'd hate to start another thread asking what the best form-fitting case is for the Visor, but, well, that's what I'm thinking about. So it's time to start searching the threads. Or maybe I should switch to a Palm Vx.
I don't think you can overstate the importance of the carrying case; there's a reason we don't all carry around laptops. I'm quite discouraged. I'm also very disappointed in E&B; they came up with an otherwise-excellent case, but they went and stuck Velcro on it and really ruined the experience of using a Visor. It's such an inexplicable mistake that it took me months to figure out that the dust was the case's fault. It probably is not apparent to reviewers either, which helps explain the many favorable reviews that this case has gotten.
VAJA CASE!
I recently bought the Vaja case after reading lots of posts like the ones on this forum about the syncing not working well, the velcro not holding, etc. The Vaja case is awesome! The Visor slips out easily for hot-syncing, and it has a very secure snap to hold the cover closed. The leather is top quality. The belt clip is secure. Check it out.
