Question

I have one of the Visor's with the bad memory module. I have the patch installed and the unit has worked fine. However, The plastic under the power button has cracked and Visor has agreed to send a replacement. My question, assuming that my replacement unit doesn't have the memory defect, how will I prevent the patch from installing on this new unit, the first time I sync? What file do I delete from my backup directory?

I have noticed that my battery life (using runtime) has been a few hours shorter since I've installed the patch, so I don't wish to use the patch unless it's necessary. Thanks for your help.

Tom

Post Remove HsExt_1_0_3M

Remove HsExt_1_0_3M from your backup directory. Then after hotsyncing, run HSUpdater and it will install the appropriate version of the patch. If the new unit doesn't have the DRAM bug, you won't have to worry about battery life with the patch.
