True, most use it for productivity, but not everyday or all the time. There are times when it's nice to take a break and play a game or read an e-book.

I have to agree I am bored with my Visor from a recreational standpoint and not all of us can afford a Minijam or
Eyemodule. My Visor does what I bought it to do, but doesn't mean I can't expect or desire more.

Thankfully, there are developers who are constantly trying to expand the limits of the Palm OS.

Handspring is trying to push gaming as one of the killer apps of the Visor Prism. My biggest beef with the Visor or any Palm for games is: Why don't they have a four-way rocker switch, like the Gameboy has, for directional control? I wouldn't even mind if the existing buttons were arranged in a diamond pattern like the defunct Everex Freestyle. I was playing Galax on the Visor last night, which only requires left-and-right directional control, and even that seemed awkward the the current button arrangement. It would be nice if the Prism corrected this.

We have this discussion at my office more times than I can count. It always ends up the same way, buy a laptop if you want a desktop in your lap. Buy a palmtop if you want to replace your pen and paper with a kick. I know that's been said, but I bet my email can get there faster than your pen or paper, so people DO buy this with that intention in mind. Want a bigger and colorful screen for movies and pictures, well that's a laptop not a palmtop. Anyone that's seen the $900 palmdvd's will tell you that it's nice in theory but not so much in real life application(And DVD is the top of the line in personal video right now). DVD's have killer sound and video quality for a reason yanno? In my opinion DVD's don't even look very well on laptop screens. I actually like the small screen and size, but I guess I had that in mind when I purchased it because it was in my basket instead of a laptop that I could of afforded too.
What you're doing is turning the PDA into a laptop, just smaller, in which I would have the same response as Gameboy70, buy a Vaio.

IMHO, the Visor is the "Zen of PDA's". I mean you can pay $250 for the basic version that has basic operations (I peronally use it in essential work meetings and communication while I'm on the road.), or you can slam springboard modules in there to do whatever YOU think is needed. Instead of paying a fortune for what someone else thinks is essential. I don't want to watch movie's on my palm, play video games, or surf the web. That's what my DVD player and Playstation connected to my bigscreen and bose speakers, and what my computer with a 19" screen to display 1024x768 webpages that have huge flash animations and 24bit graphics are for. I'm sure as technology progresses it will happen but I still would rather relax in the comfort of my home or with my family to do those things. I believe if I would of watched The Matrix on the bus ride home I might of missed a few things, hopefully not my stop though because it's the last one before the highway.

I'm veering off the point but I hope you get the idea. I bought a palmtop because I knew it was a palmtop, I think you might of had expectations that clearly would of caused you not to buy the Visor if you had read the website or done a little research. I am glad you're not head of Handspring, because if I would of had to pass my ice badboy up for a 3comPalm because it was $2000 extra for tons of bells and whistles I didn't want or need I would have been pissed.
