-- How about a play-through waterproof case? (http://discussion.visorcentral.com/vcforum/showthread.php?threadid=3244)

Question

Has anyone heard of a play-through *waterproof* case for PDAs?

I'm imagining that people could use it outdoors in bad weather, or divers could use it to keep track of remaining air, draw maps of sunken ships, etc.

It would even be handy to keep sand and salt-water off a PDA when using it on the beach.

Cool

I don't suppose a zip lock baggie will work?

It ain't chic, but it is waterproof.

Wink

Well, that's when you use the yellow-and-blue-makes-green test or use the ones with those handly little zippers.... hehehe

Thumbs up

Sorry, but I refuse to put a $250 unit (plus the price of, say, a GPS springboard) at the mercy of a ziplock baggie. Maight be ok for keeping sand out, but sea kayaking can be a little wet at times.

I'd like something made of heavy plastic with a rugged closure, like the dry bags made for keeping marine handheld VHF radios and cell phones dry. It'd have to be big enough to hold a VDx with a GPS springboard attached, too.
