Nothing on screen
My Handsrping Visor was working fine yesterday, but this morning there appears to be nothing happening. I have changed the batteries - no change. I have synchronised successfully with my desktop PC, which would seem to show that the Visor isn't dead. I have done a soft reset and a hard reset - still nothing. Where do I go from here?
First, I'd check to see that the contrast didn't get turned down all the way. If you turn the Visor on and look at the screen from some different angles - can you see anything, even if it's very faint (assuming it's a monochrome screen)?
There's also the possibility that the ribbon cable between the screen and motherboard is loose. http://www.gethightech.com has instructions on taking apart the visor and replacing the screen and/or digitizer that might help - it shows how to get into the visor so you can check/reseat the ribbon cable.
