Military pants that have pockets along the thieghs... you can go to any search engine to a military supply store and see them. They usually come in black, but do come in other colors.

Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?

Lightbulb

A couple points of clarification:

1. BDU stands for "Battle Dress Uniform". They are (usually) pants that are worn by the US military. The fabric is thicker than that of typical cargo pants. BDU can also refer to the jacket or the whole outfit. Unless down under, the term "cargo pants" refers to the military uniform as well.

2. There were 2 "generations" of Mobile Pant. The first, released in Y2000 had the single seam pocket on the right side for a cell phone-sized (probably a Star-Tac) object. The current generation has two (larger) seam pockets. You can find them on sale at department stores for around $40; I got mine at Macy's.

The Dockers website has descriptions for both the "mobile pant" and the "Recode mobile pant" which seem to be the same pant except for the number of seam pockets. The single seam pocket is probalby the "larger" size now. Even though it's not explicitly stated, I believe that the "Recode pant" has pleats. (I also bought 2 pairs of the Recode pants; both have pleats.) Of course, the description also reads that there is a "hidden vault pocket" on both sides of the pant (or does it read that there is a hidden vault pocket (singular and on one side) and mesh pockets on each side of the pant?). Anyway, there is only one vault pocket on each pant that I own. I don't think that the Dockers site has updated images and in the case of the Moblie Pant pop-up, an accurate description. Clothing manufactureres usually change their designs on a whim anyway.

Handheld Computing magazine had an article in issue 3.4. There was also some followup info in a later issue.

Where are these pants now? I bought several pairs at Costco last year and they are perfect for me--mobile in right side, reading glasses in left, and flash drives in inside hidden pocket.

But, I can't find them anywhere anymore. Has Dockers dropped them?
